Sylvia "America's Love Queen" Chavez
I’m going to be honest with you: Consistency is one of my biggest challenges. My mother used to call me: “A rebel without a cause”. And she was absolutely right. I have no idea why I did it, but I did, and I still do, (to keep the honesty going).
There are two parts of me that show up every time I think about it; like the devil and the angel on my shoulders.
One part of me (devil) says, “That is how I am and I love who I am, I love to push to the limit.” Its seems I actually have much better results, in many areas, when I do it at the very last second. I feel more inspired, more focused and ON-FIRE. That part of me loves that feeling. But it always comes with a price.
The other part (angel) is the one that feels I am disappointing somebody, and many times, I have to be excusing myself for not fulfilling my promises. This feeling can be pretty, pretty bad, especially when I let people down, people I love and who trust me.
Has this happened to you?
What I have learned, since I am an entrepreneur, is if I am not getting the results I’d wish I would have, it’s because 1) there is something I haven’t learned yet or 2) lack of consistent actions towards my goal. If this sounds like you and you want to achieve better and faster results, I have 4 tips for you:
First and most of all, don’t believe your own excuses. If you want something, turn your excuses into your reasons. You will see how much faster you get where you want to be.
Make sure you can make the distinction between “not knowing what to do” and “not doing what you know you should do.”
This is probably the hardest one…don’t waste time: get a coach, a good one who will tell you what you need to hear (not what you want to hear).
“Your word is your worth”. Once the trust is broken, it will never be the same. Are you willing to keep paying that price?
There is so much to gain when you are consistent, in all areas of your life. Consistency will allow you to feel more confident, more worthy and absolutely more valuable. That value will be seen by everyone else. Imagine how your business could grow if you take consistency as your first priority? Unlimited, like you.
