Asking is the Bravest Move

There is power in asking. Sometimes asking for help is the bravest move you can make. What does it take for you to ask for what you need and actually receive it! Asking questions is the best way to learn. Learn about a subject, learn about yourself, learn about dreams and desires. Relationships make this challenging at times and can become complex. Don’t doubt it, the power of ask is real.

Ask for help, ask for advice, ask for directions, ask for forgiveness, and ask for the sale. I have found I have received help and resources because I took that bold move to ask.

Recently I had some car trouble and needed help. I asked a mechanic friend for a referral and coworkers for rides. I ask my office for understanding. In fact, asking for help instead of giving help is difficult for me to do, but taking that chance really paid off.

I don’t always know everything and in saying so makes the space to receive guidance. I say the more I know, the more I realize I don’t know. It’s really a freeing concept. As entrepreneurs, we are presented with many challenges besides wonderful opportunities. This is especially true when beginning in a new field. Surpassing the boundaries of long-held ideas and current business models requires boldness and trust in addition to being able to ask for assistance. We are oftentimes having to ask our mentors, guides, and other entrepreneurs and innovators to show us the way.

“Transformation of any kind always exacts a holy tussle. The newborn butterfly struggles to open its wings so it can conjure up the strength to fly. So, too, with artists, inventors, mystics, and entrepreneurs. “ Tama Kieves

So remember that asking is a power move, and expecting only the best sets our minds for success.
