The ICON in Education Design Awards will recognize significant Educators, School and Higher Education Facility Professionals. Clients, Architects, Interior Designers, and Influencer/Consultant who are “change agents”, who “go beyond the norm”, and who “step out of the box” as reflected in their body of work that was influenced and shaped by the learning environments they have created.
An ICON Award-nominated person must be sponsored by a third party. Sponsors may nominate one or more individuals with a strong record of leadership and change-maker demonstration specifically for improving the PK-12 or Higher Educational experience despite obstacles perceived unsurmountable to others. This includes positively impacting the cultural, social, emotional, economic, academic, and well-being outcomes for the communities they serve that were spurred or influenced by the improvement of the built environment.
The five 2027 ICON in Education Design Awards winners will be featured in the Summer (June 2027) edition of Learning By Design magazine.
Sponsors (Individuals, Firms, Education Institutions, and Companies) may nominate PK-12 school educators and staff, consultants/influencers, and architectural firm-based professionals who have demonstrated a commitment to the education industry and have made meaningful contributions that establish them as change-making leaders.
Sponsors are invited to ominate one or more persons for this award, and the nominees can be from your company or another organization.
