The Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture is located on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Washington. The 113,000‑square‑foot building, completed in 2019, reimagines the museum’s role by “turning it inside‑out,” integrating research labs, galleries, and storage spaces so visitors can see the work of curators and scientists in real time. The design emphasizes transparency, with large windows, a pivoting window wall, and dual entrances connecting the campus and the surrounding community.
